Maria A. Powell, MA MS CCLC CEM
Senior Pastor

Maria is a multi-talented creative thinker and motivational speaker who serves her community not only as an influential business leader, program manager and Formal Executive pastor and church planter for New Life Philadelphia Center and Pentecostal Miracle Revival Center were she served with her parents, the late Rev. Willie J. Powell, Sr. and the late Overseer Delores B. Powell, until their deaths. Currently, Maria serves as the Senior Pastor of Fresh Start "Where Love Meets Worship" in Greenville, South Carolina. She's the mother of 4 beautiful talented children: Willie, Fred, Destinee, and Crystal. She operates in a very strong prophetic voice forecasting within the market place and local church. Her commitment to serve is a motivating factor in all of her endeavors and a source of inspiration to everyone with whom she comes in contact.

Her focus on women’s issues and her desire to assist in the empowerment and advancement of all women, led her to start the Global Ladies of Titus Network a vibrant international women’s networking group. Above all, she displays a strong passion for leadership development; in the market place and local church, she founded Synergy Awareness Coaching and Consultant firm were she "Breed Leaders".

Maria is a graduate of Lynn University, in Boca Raton, Florida. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Psychology, a Master’s of Science Degree in Administration and Emergency Planning, Master’s Certificate in Emergency Crisis Management, and a 2nd Masters in Leadership and Organizational Change from Columbia College respectively. Maria seeks to obtain a D.Min. degree as she continues to grow educationally and spiritually. She is a member of AACC (America Association of Christian Counselors) and ICCA (International Christian Coaching Association).

It is Maria’s belief to sustain her character, integrity, and spiritual empowerment through her practice of a bio-psycho-social-spiritual regimen founded in 1 Thessalonians 5:23 “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
